Miley Cyrus: I don't really know who One Direction are

MILEY Cyrus is one cool cat, so much so she has no idea who One Direction are.

The We Can't Stop singer appeared to be a little confused as she claimed to not really be sure of their names or any of their song titles during a recent interview.

When asked if she was a fan of the group she said: "I mean, don't ask me to name a song or something because I can't do that. I know what they look like."

And Miley was quick to disassociate herself from having any further knowledge of the group during the Q&A session with Heat World when they asked if she had met them.

She replied: "I think so, I think I met Harry, I think, backstage, I don't really remember that much.

"I just remember my sister was super excited. I don't really know them that much, that's like so bad but it's like I listen to urban."

What Miley seems to be forgetting is the time she tweeted a snap of herself cuddled up to a lifesize Harry Styles cardboard cut-out in bed and wrote: "In no way do I want Harry. No offense. I'm sure that'll be a story now 2. I'm happily engaged. Just got saucy with a cardboard cut out."

And she even sent a tweet to Harry at the time saying: "All I want for my birrffffday is a big booty hoe. All @noahcyrus wants for her BIRFFFDAY is @harry_styles."

So she knew who Harry was back in January, and she was also pretty sure who Niall was in April when she accidentally uploaded a snap of him and DJ XO Man during a studio session.

She captioned the picture: "Studio with @MikeWiLLMadeIt," before adding: "Ok so in case you didn't notice, yes that is Niall."

But as it seems Miley now has a complete mental block when it comes to arguably one of the biggest bands in the world right now.

So she will be less than impressed when she finds out they have broken her VEVO record after racking up a huge 10.9 million views of the brilliant video to their new single Best Song Ever in just 24 hours.

They overtook her 10.7 million views in one day for the raunchy promo to We Can't Stop which means Best Song Ever is now officially the most-watched video on VEVO after it's first day since the site launched.

The video currently stands at an impressive 20,351,027 views in two days.
