WHEN Gem Brown took to the stage at Keynsham's Fry Club, her appearance gave no clue as to what was about to happen. The slight 17-year-old, with flowers in her hair and holding a guitar that seemed twice as big as her, told the audience she was going to sing a song she had written herself.
